Geographic Location
Remote monitoring can be provided from virtually anywhere in the world. While this is suitable for basic monitoring needs, some customers prefer that providers offer monitoring services from geographic locations near to them. Choosing a provider who has monitoring equipment close to your geographic location helps to ensure better accuracy in reporting problems, as there are likely fewer network "hops" between the provider's hardware and your servers or network.
Companies with a global reach that wish to monitor service availability in foreign countries might look for one or more providers that have monitoring equipment in those countries and/or regions. Doing this helps give them a more thorough view of service availability throughout the world than would monitoring from a single geographic location.
You can choose to narrow your search to providers that have physical monitoring equipment located in a specific region or country.
Provider Types
By default, search results will contain both business and individuals that provide support for Open Source software. If you wish, you may use this option to limit your search to only businesses or individuals.
If you select the 'Show only recommended providers' option, your search results will be filtered to only include support providers that are recommended for one or more software packages you select. Provider recommendations are made solely by the maintainers and/or developers of the software packages for which the recommendations are given. Selecting this option may severely limit your search results, as many software maintainers do not participate in the recommendation process. The presence or lack of a recommendation should not be interpreted as a reflection of the provider's ability to provide you with adequate support for the software, nor does it indicate a recommendation (or lack thereof) from Ayamon, LLC or its affiliates.
