- Efficiency. Using the contact system allows you to contact multiple providers at a time. This allows you to receive responses and quickly compare features, pricing, plans, etc. of numerous providers.
- Competitive Bidding. When you use the contact system to request information from multiple providers, the individual providers do not know who else you may have contacted. As a result, they may reduce their price quotes in order to win your business. This can be particularly helpful if you are looking for estimates on a specific project.
- Accountability. Once you've used the contact system to get in touch with providers, you'll have the chance to leave feedback for them. Doing this helps future customers get an idea of how providers rate in terms of customer satisfaction, etc.
- Privacy. The information you submit during the contact process is shared only with the providers you choose to contact. Your information is not furnished or sold to any other third parties. Read our privacy policy for more information on how we handle the information you provide.

| Adding Providers To Your Contact List |

In order to contact one or more Open Source support providers, you must first add them to your contact list. This is easily accomplished by doing the following:
- Perform a search to find support providers that meet your needs
- Add the providers you are interested in to your contact list, either by:

...checking the box next to the provider's name and clicking the 'Contact Providers' button in the search results page

...clicking on the 'Contact Provider' button in the provider detail page
|

When you add providers to your contact list, you will have the option of either starting the contact process or continuing to add more providers to your contact list.

| Contacting Providers |

When you're ready to contact the providers you selected, you'll provide (and confirm) some basic information about your needs. In order to complete the contact process, you'll need to:
- Specify your geographic location
- Provide basic contact information (along with any questions you may have)
- Review and submit your contact information
- Confirm your contact request by visiting the URL that is sent to you in a confirmation email
Once you confirm your submission, the providers you selected will be notified of your request and may then get in touch with you by email or phone if they are able to assist you with your support needs.
